Did anyone hear the gun shot?

It was the starting gun to my week; which will be a sprinted marathon, I've got a major to-do at work Wednesday and Thursday and I've got the next 2 days to get things all wrapped up in a pretty bow and hope like heck that our visitor doesn't have a 'curious' nature... meaning she sticks to the script she sent and does not get creative...

I have to say a Sunday without football is like a Sunday without sunshine - which is was... rainy dreary - damp - and so so very quiet... and frankly very nice. No stress, no screaming, no promises to a higher power to remove your quarterback's head from his nether regions... very stress free. Next Monday night - well let's just say Tuesday morning will have a direct bearing on the outcome - you know this deal with it skippy.

And now just found out that a friend at work is leaving to go to another project *sigh* I hate losing people I like - but I SO understand why she wants out. Thankfully its not my partner in crime... she's still here. Just another brick on the pile of poo that is working life this week...

All this BEFORE the weekly staff meeting - this week is so not shaping up to be a good one - and I won't even begin to mention no day working from home. Oh and did I mention the boss is here this week? Oh yeah the lemons are piling up and my juicer is at the shop.

Ok Staff Meeting over - the week is not getting any better - what is it with code jockeys who become managers? Do you suddenly have a freaking lobotomy? Grumble grumble... and I see in glaring clarity just how little managerial support I have coming this week... do the words "this is your thing" give you a hint? Cripes.

I'm going to get lunch, then I'm going to hide in my office for the rest of the day... this post wasn't fun :-( Bubba was left - actually he was up and moving when I left, the puppies were fed, watered and empty when I left, and traffic - well was traffic. Stay tuned this week does not look promising - who knows I may kill a co-worker this week. Nah... I don't do well is small spaces.. but I am not above a little computer bombing... just a little one. :-D
