I've worked harder today than I have all week. Cripes. The day started with the alarm, and the snooze button and the alarm and the snooze button and the cold wet nose and then a bit of whining but no one was listening so I got up and let the dogs out and fed them breakfast...
We made our way to the semi-annual all you can eat pancake breakfast at the Lodge, enjoyed then I went to 'work' at the yard sale. Don't know the total amount raised for the Ladies, but Goodwill is in for a haul, cripes the stuff we had left over. Oh well, I've got books and video tapes in my truck going to the Animal Shelter thrift store. Good deeds all around today.
Now surprisingly Bubba has been in a reasonable mood today. He even did me a favor and did a Wal-Mart run for the Any Solider.com project we're shipping this week. (Check out the website my group has been sending stuff for 3 years, it's goodies from home the our fighting men and women request, frankly shipping is the biggest hassle.)
So now home, bushes are trimmed and I didn't have to witness the usual swinging over our head of the gas powered tree trimmer while standing on a ladder... fun. I was the manual labor, use un-powered rake clean up trimmings put into bag and put out by curb. Keep things simple in my world and it just works.
That is done, Bubba and I had a chat about the living room, believe it or not boys and girls - stone cold sober he said he liked the curtains and the paint. I know frozen margaritas for all you sinners tonight. Now we are debating our dinner options, it's 2 hours and counting until the puck drops for Hockey night in Germantown. And all promises to be a good night... please don't let me just have jinxed it....
So that's it for today, clean kitchen, laundry in progress, Bubba is packed, dogs are sleeping in the sun... my goodness could it be a picture perfect day? Darn close.
Enjoy your Saturday night! We'll chat post game Sunday - or Sunday AM depending.. ;-)
