Who needs coffee?

When your husband scares the living life out of you at 6:40 in the blessed AM? I was up showered and moving earlier than usual this morning, as I'm leaving work early for a doctor appointment ... so up moving out of the shower then I hear and see Shelby, growling and not the good one her tail straight up and not moving CRAP! I am standing there in my towel thinking what idiot burglar keeps coming when faced with this big black dog growling and how fast can I dial 911 and find that firearm...

Then Shelby's tail starts to wag and out appears my husband, I should have shot him just for general purposes... but then there would have been blood and well - then there would have been puke and blood... then a stain on my carpet - sooo not worth the hassle. Instead I grumped, "What the F is wrong with you? And why are you home so early?" (things not said - why are screwing with my morning? and other 'oh great he's home' line of thinking) But it was certainly entertaining to watch when the old boy is motivated, how quickly he can get things done, he was unpacked, undressed and in bed before I got out the door ... must be tired... poor thing. (yeah whatever)

So I made my way happily to work (well Ok not so happily more like -time to make the doughnuts... only making code) and my Tuesday morning commute was a show, think outdoor disco. Lots of blinking lights, broken glass and twisted medal don't ask me how it fits it was just the thought that popped into my head as I passed my FIFTH accident of the morning; all I needed a Donna Summer soundtrack and it would have been complete... (and another peek into my brain scary isn't it?)

So mug in hand, caffeine now fighting its way through the 'wanna sleep' parts of my brain and I'm on my second of three morning teleconferences. The boss should supply pastries for Tuesdays just for showing up - I mean really sitting at your desk listening for one person or another blather on they cover the stuff I cared about in the first 10 minutes then we have to sit and listen to everyone else... snore. Now the meeting at 11 - I pay close attention to.. it's the one that talks about project funding. Aunt Ing likes those paychecks. ;-)

Sorry Mom nothing exciting but stay tuned the day is young and Bubba his home things could turn any minute. Or if the gods are kind it will remain quiet... but I'm not counting on that.
