Through all my rants and whining my life is truly a good one, I have a roof over my head, shoes on my feet, friends, family and my petty issues are just that petty.
Today I read that a dear friend of mine had to make probably one of the most difficult decisions of her life. Her Mom is gravely ill and they had to make the decision to stop all treatments and simply make her comfortable. In 6 weeks Charlotte has gone from diagnoses to hospice and I sit here with tears in my eyes for my friend and for her mom who was one classy lady.
So today - no rants, no raves, no issues, just a short heartfelt post to my friend Cindy who through it all has remained strong, did what had to be done, and now must face the hardest time of her life.
Cindy - there are so many friends here for you and I will be standing in front, dinner in hand. Well because I'm Italian and we eat - especially when times are tough.
Your mom was a great lady and it was truly my pleasure to know her.
God works in mysterious ways - he reminds me that life is indeed precious and should be held close. Hug a friend or family member and thank the deity of your choosing for having that person in you life - no matter how short that time may be.
All my love Cindy may all your memories be good ones.
I don't know Cindy, but give her my love too. What a hard decision to have to make. *hugs*
