Of Bubba - there are two... as well documented here - content and crabby. Oh sure there are various level of those two but his mood in general can be put into one of those two categories. Yesterday when I left we were light crabby as I was leaving but he was looking forward to board games with the neighbors and a massage hence the light. By the time I go home, that needle had dipped into solid crabby with ticked off mixed in for fun!
My trip - was a good one, oh it rained like Noah was coming back for a repeat performance add in fog, wind and it was a joy to drive in. But we made it, one minor car scare, nothing major, checked by a mechanic, and away we went. Meeting went well and ALL my girls did great - I even got a compliment from the head Rainbow Lady - getting something positive out her is harder than Chinese Algebra. But I am proud they worked hard and earned it. Now the gauntlet has been tossed down and aren't I stupid enough to pick it up. Our state meeting is going to be a production... shoot me now. I will rally the troops and say a little prayer - and it will be what it will be.
My Sunday started like every day starts with the gentle nudge from Shelby(i.e. paw of death scrapping off as many layers of skin she can get to) while one - "go lay down worked" the second one about 45 minutes later wasn't going to fly. So up, out, fed, and back to bed, it's the weekend and I was up and moving yesterday. So we slept in, I then woke and knew my eyeballs were not going to close again, so I went downstairs, putzed around and low and behold, some time later comes (insert the da-da-dah here) CRANKY Bubba! Yes boys and girls it's that wonderful time when he WAKES UP firmly implanted in the cranky mood. Oh what joy what bliss will my day hold when we start this way. What oh what will today's cranky mood bring us? Its an off shoot of two familiar tunes wrapped in new complaints, let's start with - you bought goodies to go next door. I bought a .99 bag of pretzels and a 2.00 bag of pita chips. Which I promised will go into my lunches which now much be packed. (we'll get to new job Monday later). AND he was cranky because I put a note on the chips thanking the guy next door for inviting the husband over because he needs to get out more... it was a JOKE. Apparently the razor thing humor gene has been taken over by the over rampant cranky gene. Lucky me.
So snort snort grump grump - we make the decision to go out to breakfast, I brought a book along as I was in no mood to deal with cranky Bubba. So we get there, we wait, we chat a bit, we sit, he still is sporting cranky face, when questioned about cranky face - he has no idea what I'm talking about. Yes I should have pulled out a mirror but alas I do not carry one with me. I've got darn near everything else in there but no mirror. So back to book, newspaper some conversation about a news bit on the TV. Breakfast... wait the needle is moving... it's less cranky Bubba. We'll take what we can get.
Quick grocery stop for lunch stuff, then home. Again here I am doing nothing again you because the magic fairies in Bubba's mind do the cleaning of the kitchen, making beds, gathering laundry and dog beds, bills, on line stuff, work paperwork it all just magically happens while I sit with my nose in a book and sparkles flying out my practically manicured fingernails. Which by the way I broke one as the fairies are apparently on strike! (aka Aunt Ing did all that stuff and the fairies are all in Bubba's head!)
Now I'm off to find more magic in leftover surprise for dinner, and wonder which mood will arrived post car wash tonight. THAT is why I read people, fiction is so much better than real life.
Oh - and new Job Monday which is tomorrow - opens a whole new world, as I have said all week - equal parts excited and terrified. Thankfully no meeting tomorrow so I can come and go when I need to, get the lay of the land and see what my new space will be. Then we'll face Tuesday. Oh and did I mention I'll have to actually work for a change? After a month of surfing the web... actual work - what will I do?
Stay tuned.
