Whew!

Holy cow - you know it's a weekend when you have to come to work to get a rest!  In-law visit went just fine, out to dinner, a bit of chatting, little discussion of family members.  I found it telling when asked of Bubba's darling sister the comments were brief, noncommittal and unfailingly polite.  Hummmm  ;-)

The only comment made about the wedding was by mum-in-law J she said "If Niece A didn't mind and understood the conflict then I don't mind"   It was on the tip of my tongue to ask "does she even want us there?"  I mean you all knew about this in MAY - it's PAID FOR - and yet still no attempt to work around - no asking hey Uncle Bob can you--- he wouldn't but I guess that is it the family way eh?  I didn't say anything but a noncommittal grunt - frankly I was at a loss.   My other thought was did you bother to rock the boat to say you need to include the entire family?!?  I know the answer to that one - of course not - that would mean creating conflict -- probably with J's daughter - Bubba's sister which we simply cannot have... don't ask me why - but apparently J doesn't argue with T.  Makes my head hurt.

Bubba went to work Friday morning - I took them out to breakfast and enjoyed the time, then they headed out right quick, I went shopping, and spent the rest of the afternoon doing Progressive dinner prep.  My folks arrived about 4PM, Nana - bless her - jumped right in helped out get things done, organized and cleaned up.  We enjoyed dinner out - seafood and came home and died.  Saturday ah - Saturday up early due to finance guy Bubba chatted with fellow nerd I  heard snappy jingles in my head - then he showed us what we were worth - as of the end of June - and then after the excrement hit the oscillating air device (think about  it people) - there was a big difference and I will indeed be working until I'm 90.  I need to remind my in-laws that Bubba and I no long have more money than god so they can stop being nice to me.  (Steel Magnolias - required reading here!)  I need to watch that movie again... digressing - sorry.

So we ran some errands on Saturday go ourselves put together and went next door to a birthday party... and boy did we party!  Crabs, beef, homemade sausage from New Jersey, salads, desserts, liquor, OMG.   Sunday came way too early.  But with all that work to do for the progressive dinner I sweated out the demon rum... my appetizers were a hit - with the exception of the stuffed peppers.  Ah well.  between you and me the ladies group progressive dinner was a bust - we expected 25 we got not that many -- plus we had a DJ but we had rain (downpour!!) and had to bag the games and dancing... ah well.  Ate too much, enjoyed a bit of mellow and went home and DIED!

Monday got up said good bye to the parental units and headed out to work.  It was good, it was quiet, I didn't have to cook or organize anything.

Now I did call the vet for Shelby's meds - only to learn she had to have blood work to check things out -- just like us.  Ok fine made the appointment, got the script - and drugs to tied us over.  Thinking ahead - got things done --- nope.  Not according to Bubba I was again spending money like a drunken sailor and I just don't care about saving our money and bla bla bla.... so I started to ignore him.  Which of course he just continued blathering on and finally he stands there all pissed off and I told him, I'm not going to answer you when you call me nasty names and scream and holler.  I took care of things - but since it wasn't done to your satisfaction you can bet your sweet bippy I won't do it again.... EVER.  When you say to call it in - I'll say you better handle that one as the last time I took the initiative there was a great wailing and gnashing of teeth so in order to save your sanity honey - YOU DO IT.   You take off work early and get home, tend to the pups, get Shelby to the vet, deal with the rest --- this way it will be done the way you want it done - and any monies spent will not be done by me and the unicorns will dance and fart the cheap-ass rainbows you apparently need to keep your world balanced.  But I'm not bitter... at all... nope.

It is now Tuesday - I had to get up and out the door WAY to early - traffic was freaking fantastic and I got to my meeting 45 minutes early.  Hey I got coffee and a bagel - and paid for that bit of white bread on my blood glucose numbers a bit later.  ;-)

Its been another work day - meeting, meeting, sitting too long and me, myself and I oh- so ready for a nap.

This evening at this point looks to be quiet - dinner with be left over surprise and hopefully an early bedtime.
