Who hit the puree button??

Yeesh and holy cow even, my job which has been cruising along like Granny to church suddenly got a Corvette and hit the interstate.  Yeesh and enough already. - Thursday - Friday blurs.  I am sure part of it is the fact I have been fighting a cold since Wednesday night but as I had a massage, come home and went to bed and slept in Thursday morning for a bit things are looking up.   Of course I had a great dinner on Thursday with my mentor, we had Italian, oh sure I counted up the points and watch the weekly "additional" points shrink like my pants after Christmas.   Digressing... Friday was up before everyone and met my carpooler... but OMG the day.  Problem children in the test arena, new project is making me a bit nuts and coupled with the whole not feeling great thing... it was a long day.    Then I get home, and I am Miss Get-it-done,  I have Girl's group paper work out I find my missing files, I clean up my multiple copies of crap-ola, I have things in binders I have a list and I am ready to roll.   I get things all organized and ready for my trip with the girls tomorrow.  I am so good I field phone calls, I organize rides, I plan for rooming buddies in March - hear me roar.   THEN I start cleaning up my kitchen, load up the dishwasher wash dishes and get dinner started because frankly I don't want to wait on Bubba any longer I was getting a headache.   So I cooked dinner within good points and crashed early due to night time cold meds.   Only problem was I crashed on the couch - then call came in Bubba's day was cancelled due to teenage angst and it was making his parents nuts - and then at 11:00 PM my day gets cancelled due to the prediction of 5-10 inches of snow.  Thank you so very much.   At least they didnt' call at 5 AM right?

So email everyone, text a few girls, field a phone call of one girl in one location planning to be in another Saturday night - and well pumpkin it's February.  You had to think this was a possibility right?  ANY way - dealt with all that and went to bed....

I wake much later to the tender and gentle nudges of Shelby the wonder pup whose nails I must cut today.  Needless to say I'm up, nose is still clogged but it's not life or death at this point.  Up fed the dogs, checked the time, called a few folks I wasn't sure would read the email in time - everyone was up to speed - life is good.   Then Bubba is up and moving, he does his thing on the computer this morning, then he decides to leave to go to Costco and get his tax software... I shower and dance on the promise of breakfast out.   We achieve, all the above, and during breakfast decide against going to the movies and get a couple to take home along with some munchies.   So all tucked in, its getting colder and a bit more snow on the grass - we watch a couple of DVD's and snack the afternoon away.  Now he's watching taped hockey and I'm in here... pretending to pay bills.

Tomorrow promises to be as equally exciting - grocery shopping, and a Trader Joe's run and possibly even a pop to the mall for a small token for a lodge thing - not of my doing.   I know - it's a life isn't it?  Frankly I am NOT complaining about the down time this weekend, the cold and me could use it.  As a matter of fact I am headed upstairs to make myself some dinner - which I am sure darling butthead will want something from me then too... and I will again pop a happy night time cold medication type tablet and sleep the clogged nose away.   Better living through chemicals is a wonderful thing.

Oh and in the surprise of the century!  Bubba didn't say bubkus about the new scale in the house - he joked about not liking the numbers when he did use it - and he used the same lame ass joke when he asked where the old one was (why did you throw it away honey - didn't like the numbers?)  ar-har dee har... Bubba the comedian.  spare me.

Off to go find something in the cupboards for dinner and off to drug induced dream land... ahhh I am beginning to forget what its like to be able to breath out of BOTH of your nostrils.
