As the weekend kicked off with Bubba the cranky, Saturday saw Bubba disappear early to navigate his way through the mostly working DC Metro and meet his friends for an afternoon baseball game. On an afternoon that saw clouds, a lot of rain here, but not where he was, and a high of 71 degrees - there were nights not so long ago that didn't get that cool. Crazy. But I enjoyed the entire day home, alone with the pups all quiet and mellow. Rainy and grey why bother to go out - and I didn't. He got home all happy and content, he stopped off and got his own dinner as I hadn't go out, and there wasn't much in the house. Plus I ate earlier... much earlier.
I was a quiet night, and today has proven much the same, we were up and moving, Bubba opened his computer and went to work, I made a grocery and errands list and went running. Unlike Bubba who would have taken that same list and been gone for the better part of 3 hours - I was done with 4 stops in less than 90 minutes. Dropped off kitchen towels at the lodge, got gas, got cash, went to Wal-Mart, took care of that list, went to Aldi's for the cheap groceries, and then to Giant for what they didn't have. As darling Bubba helped me unload the car, he grumbled, we're leaving this week - yes dear I am well aware of that - as most of this was for the weekend, and some stock up items as I really hadn't been shopping in a month. The cubbords were a bit bare oh sure the freezer is full but you still need stuff to go with it.
So things for weekend tended, cubbords restocked and Bubba left for his massage. Peace and mellow reign again. Then we have a week sprint to the finish of Thursday night and the joy that is a weekend at camp. I can't wait.
I don't want to jinx things but right now life is good...
and didn't I just hear karma warming up the blender....
