Two down - two to go...

I made it - two days of 'work'.  I added the accents because work is quiet dead as there is a holiday stuck in the middle of this week (thank goodness) and folks are taking time off.... so it's mostly quiet.

Mostly as our little work home has been invaded by interlopers from another building that doesn't have power.   Since these folks are technically (1 a boss) and the rest are working on budgets that keep my butt employed next year - Aunt Ing has smiled and happily stayed out of their way... I've got a vacation to pay for - and new clothes acomin' !  Budget away ladies and gents.

My office mate was happy to see me, and the team members that were there were also very welcoming.  It was very nice.   It is nice to have a job where folks don't hate you on a daily basis.  It's been over a year since we've been rid of the Deep South Idiots but that memory is seared into my brain and unlikely to be scarred over for a bit.

Its now Tuesday evening, we have had dinner - my 1.7 ounces of chicken a bit of broccoli and I even tried a bit of rice.   Thus far things have stayed where they belong - there was some pressure as I may have eaten too fast or not chewed enough but things settled and we're good.   I have also discovered I feel really poopy if I don't eat lunch early enough.  I had back to back meetings today and by 12 noon my tummy was letting me know things weren't happy.

I have also discovered my tummy likes real protein and isn't thrilled with the liquid kind anymore.   That stuff use to fill me up no worries, now it's kinda passing through..(meaning I pee... really people where doesn't your brain go?!?)   According to the books I am supposed to be tired, after all I'm living on 4 ounces of real food a day and 3 protein shakes - oh yeah and 3 gallons of flavored water.  I don't go anywhere without a drink (and not the good kind)  in my hand, and working knowledge of all reasonably acceptable rest rooms within a 4 minute drive of my ultimate destination.   Oh yeah this is living.

I saved Bubba again by getting his Grandmother flowers delivered for her birthday - almost forgot.  Thankfully I have the local florist number and they were very accommodating.   I hope.  It's not they would call and say - Hey the nicest thing arrived for my birthday thank you so much...  that would seriously be too much to ask out of these people.   Instead I will nag my darling to husband to ensure he calls home to wish his 80-something Grand mother a happy birthday.   With any luck for me - he'll get his mother on the phone and we'll get some gossip.   Not holding my breath but you know... hope springs eternal.

Speaking of Bubba - again I need to befriend a psychologist to help me understand why my husband has such a stick up his butt when we get a phone call at night.   I'm sorry dear - people like me - they want to talk to me - just because you (like the rest of your anti-social family) tend to huddle into your own cave and never want to socialize - that ain't me pumpkin.   Get over your little cranky face and deal.... and you wonder why I blog.   Or maybe you don't.    Of course for you playing Bubba bingo of stupid at home - I am on the computer - he's watching crap on TV for the corner square can any one guess what Bubba asked me?!   Come on now - you know this one!   Time's up.    And allow me to again quote:  "What are you doing in there?"   Added to that the fact I am in the room that only houses the computer - he can hear me typing.   And the question is --- WHAT ARE YOU DOING IN THERE?   I'm plotting world domination by first taking out all the accountants and politicians to be followed by people who harm children and vegans.   What the heck do you think I'm doing in here?  And that's a maybe on the vegans - got to have someone eat all that tofu craploa - everyone else is toast.

Scary when I wander off isn't it?

Any who.... it's pushing 9 PM, I've been up since 4:45 AM, managed to work all day, get home, cook dinner and now it's time for down time, and bed.   Bubba is going to work on the 4th, I will be home enjoying the peace and quiet, then see where the day takes us.   Hopefully it's early to bed as I have to get up and go to work on Thursday .... me and 12 people.  Friday that number will be down to 3.   Traffic better be groovy too!

Happy 4th of July - read your copy of the Declaration of Independence, salute your flag and thank a Vet or Service Person.   Freedom isn't free.
