Back to work...

And that has been pretty uneventful... up WAY to early dealt with the morning meeting and then the rest of the day has been adjusting to all these people working in the office today... yeesh not used to all this noise. ;-)

heading home early and frankly looking forward to the phone call from mama after she dumps her brother, my uncle, on the airplane home. I only had to share space with him for a few days and well I didn't think about it much. Apparently Nana has had more issues - plus there is that whole 'let it go' thing she has trouble with... but I have certainly vented to her enough - I am happy to let her go. After all it keeps our blood pressure under some control.

I've got a meeting tonight - just the girls - so organizing cats. And that is just the parents... then I will come home and go to bed. I hate those early mornings... it's just not my schedule.

The big thing on my plate is my yearly review - the greatest work of fiction I write on a yearly basis. I solved world hungry (i.e. I ate lunch daily) I supported the green initiative (worked from home as often as possible - including a week during the blizzards...) and ensured from my little fingers that software was released on time on schedule and without errors - with a little help from developers, testers and other 'support' personnel. Shakespeare isn't it? (not it's not but I hate yearly reviews.) This is what I do all day which is make you money which you keep in exchange you give me a paycheck, health insurance and a T1 line when I need fast Internet. A fair exchange, now as gas is going up - you can up that paycheck a bit. Oh how I wish. Actually what I would love to do one day is insert a line about saving the office from the invasion of the mor-on people who cleverly disguise themselves as upper management; but thanks to my logic spewing spray they ran away in terror and hysterics. But as those people are the ones who approve that minor bump in the paycheck and the continued delivery of said paycheck... I do that here and move on with my day.

On the upside - Bubba said he will be working major hours for the next two weeks - so bonus peace and quiet time at night - until Captain Cranky Pants comes home tired and hungry -- -then he will expect me step up and feed his fanny. And to you funny boys and girls who ask "why can't he do it himself?" apparently aren't reading this blog on a regular basis. Step it up will you?

Other than that it's been a quiet day and I'm hoping it stays that way... Cripes I need a nap.

Of course check back tomorrow I may document the Nana-rant or something new and fun may occur in the nerd meetings of Tuesday. or not. ;-)

Oh and where I said God has a sense of humor - Mother Nature apparently had a hot flash this weekend - and now it's over. 60 degrees this weekend and back to 41 - I'm so done with winter - already.
