First our home computer is a bit wonky - so I'm not on it much. Then when I want on the darn thing - Bubba has taken up residence... I don't ask what he's doing on there because he ain't bugging me. Let him surf I will enjoy peace and quiet and quality remote time... and maybe a bit too much Food Network. To go off the path a bit - has anyone seen the show on A&E called Hoarders? Oh gross and gross - they show these poor souls who have a disorder that they can't throw anything out. Their homes have these small pathways to move around in and the rest is piles upon piles of stuff. I mean there was a woman who couldn't throw out a chair in which MICE were living! It's like a car accident - you can't stop watching even when you are sitting there with your Clorox clean up and rubber gloves!
Ok - enough TV talk - on to the weekend...
Parental units decided they didn't want to fight snow - so they stayed home. That was cool - but that meant I got to enjoy a quiet weekend alone - Bubba was off with the boys most of Saturday - I was a veggie. And enjoyed it. Oh my kitchen was clean, there was some picking up there was a lot of quality reading time... it was all good. We wandered off to a quick dinner out - and then vegged into the night. Sunday - Sunday was another matter all together. Bubba was up and in a good mood - oh lucky me. We went through coupons - post bagels, then we were off to Costco - spent WAY too much money and apparently I had some mental breakdown when it came down to laundry soap, I bought 2 big containers - I won't need laundry soap until 2013. I won't need dish washing soap until then either. I had coupons - sue me.
On the up side - got a new beach chair - you wear it like a back pack WITH! a cooler and a place for your cell phone and other fun things. I have to go back tonight and get two more - really should have called BEFORE I checked out. ah well the place was a freaking zoo! But that is Costco on Sunday. Hopefully today won't be as bad... and I'm a size 2. No biggie - the chairs are up front, grab 2 and off to the check outs.
Then we went to the office supply store - Bubba needed forms for the cleaning lady's taxes... the world will stop if he doesn't have these done right. Yes yes - there are issues but between us and her what is 6 days? Really? And yes Bubba is that much of a boy scout - to the point of 'are you kidding me?' Relax in life most folks have a little 'give' in them dear - unless their names are Bubba - then there is a long straight stick shoved up your - ah - ahem. Wandered there didn't I? sorry about that.
Let's fast forward shall we? So we wandered into Adli - the most no frills grocery store I've ever seen - and it doesn't take credit! Yikes. Since we needed more than they had back to the big grocery store got what we needed (eventually) and moved on to home. Of course there were words spoken - as there was a decision made in terms of a package of hamburger - decision made, Bubba made another one - then KEPT SHOPPING for hamburger!! I got cranky and said - decision made - we're moving on! And I'm the one getting called names. No tired of shopping with you and the crap is in the cart! You're done! Move the freak on!!!!!
Ahem.
So home, unloaded the car, and let the grumping begin - do you have enough {insert item here} what were you thinking - are you even going to use {insert same item here} Yes dear I will use laundry soap - its not like its going to go bad - so next year at this time I'll buy more - you know when I need it. same with the Dishwashing soap - I know you think the fairies come in and deal with it - but guess what oh-husband of mine - the little fairies who do the dishes - actually use the soap. Thankfully football was on so he plopped into his chair and that was all she wrote.
Now - I made dinner prior to OUR football game. In something only the Aunt Ing and Bubba show can pull off sloppy joes were on the menu... did I buy sauce? No - because Bubba said he saw some in the cubbord. Did Aunt Ing check? No. Did we have any? No. Cheeseburgers it is! And as I am ready to serve said dinner - let the grumping begin... burgers are too big - what I always want on my burger - (Which changes EVERY time we have them) so no darling not sure what the heck you want on this burger! So dinner was amazingly not worn, but eaten, the game began, and it was good. Digestion was good, happiness was abounding - talking smack via facebook to our friends in Warren... then came the second half.
Yes, sorry Nana, football words were used, with frequent, regular, and repetitive use... the words idiot - and what the bleep-dee-bleep-bleep are you doing out there? A SAFETY! Oxygen was called for, carpet was paced, dogs were soothed, paced, opened a book - read two words, closed book, more football words - 10, 9, holy mother - 8, 7, stay in bounds you moron! 6, 5, 4, hold the ball!!! 3, 2, 1.
Well holy Sh%t we're going back to the Super bowl! OXYGEN! Call from Dad - he too is hard to understand through his oxygen mask - now - go to bed you've got to go to work in the morning. Well Crap. 2 hours later - I thought about it.
Up this morning, car checked small leak of unknown origin, all is well, we'll wait until there is a bigger issue, off to work.
Yes the dreaded staff meeting, new PM is trying to get he arms around this 12 legged beast that constantly beating itself - then there is the hammer from the customer... and we wonder why this crew likes to drink so much. (see previous posts for any code jockey reference and you WILL understand)
All right then... Monday is Monday I've got a meeting tonight, and I have to fight my way home - thankfully there isn't anything falling from the sky. Plus I need a nap.
Later -
