Chocolate Cake

I'm craving chocolate cake... not only is this NOT good for my expanding backside, but it's not good to have these kinds of cravings for one's sanity. I mean this involves baking and icing and clean up and -- screw grocery store cake... ick never meets the craving level there is always something wrong with it. Plus it's expensive. I can get cake mix and icing for $3

Today has been great worked from home, got some work stuff done, got some errands run, gave my family truckster a bath... (got the car washed) amazing thing to be able to see out of your mirrors and back windows. :-) Speaking of errands something cool happened with that-- went to the Ladies's group bank; not my usual location as I was running on time budget (had to get back for a teleconference) so went to the new branch. Hit the drive through and put my deposit into the shoot hit the button and whoosh... then a face appears on a small screen and she smiles and says her name and she would be handling my transaction today. Then I looked up and saw there was no big drive through window looking out at the cars! Just brick wall!! So that was kind of interesting, you just expect that BIG window - see that bank employee's face - but nope - there sat Patty perky with her little head set and her closed circuit monitor to the drive through people. LOL Ah technology. In another 20 years interacting with real people will be a rare occurrence.

So, stuff is mailed, including to the niece, to the luncheon committee for my Maryland's mom's good bye luncheon, rebates from the new pricey phones and books from my paperback swap website. That runs hot and cold and I think its just you cycle through and eventually get to the top of the list. Any who... it's nice to get things that have lingered for a week or better to get it tended to and done. And it's nice to have a clean car.

AND for the bonus round this week, tomorrow is Friday, Bubba has stated he's probably going to have to work this weekend, and he doesn't have Monday off - but I do!! Ah happiness and joyful thoughts.

We have Steelers Saturday do not call me between 4:30 and 8:00 PM make it Tuesday if they lose.

I tried the washing machine last night... worked just fine no leaks. The appliance gods hate me... but the computer is still on the unable to perform list. Called the Computer Doctor - he's not in... ah well.

Day is winding down, I've got a dinner to work tonight and will still probably beat Bubba home. Life today boys and girls is good... let's not angry the gods shall we?
