And apparently I'm not doing well - hit the wrong key and posted just the title... thank goodness for the edit key. ;-)
So -- yeah --- not much going on a work -- really quiet --- the boss is back --- in the conference room -- doesn't need us--- OH! Meeting friend for lunch. That will be nice - and leaving early as I got here so early. Hair appointment today - bye bye - color other than brown which I won't mention in public. Nope.
Bubba was left this AM snoring and all tucked in, his puppy was sleeping in her bed fed and happy, my puppy was downstairs, unhappy. Mommy was leaving... I'm sure as soon as she was sleeping and warm that was all she wrote.
I must say that Pittsburgh Sports Radio has been hard on the Steelers - as they should be. We should take out banners - you people have been sucking wind - get it together! Among other catchy phrases - sans foul language - we save that for game day. :)
And now the boys on skates are getting a bit - ah-- shaky. No no boys - stop watching football - go skate shoot the puck - and score points - GO PENS GO. Sorry got carried away.
I wonder if Bubba realizes that it's a double sports night, Pens at 7:30 and Steelers at 8:20. My goodness isn't the remote going to get a workout tonight? But I don't have to cook - and we've got enough left overs for lunch this weekend - life ain't so bad.
And now for the geek moment of the day... as told by the boss...
The team is working up technical stuff to justify all the bodies and all the code and all the extras on the project. To those of you in the know this is called Proposal time. Now as the management must justify all these numbers, and requirements and assumptions to the folks who pay our bills (aka the customer)- the team has been sending this stuff up to them before the big formal review Friday. This morning one the big "technical" guys from our customer has sent an email back to our senior Tech guy asking him --- wait for it---- "Dear X, What do you think of these assumptions? Are they right?"
Yes, our customer, has asked our senior tech guy if the stuff he worked on looked good to him and if they were right. Where is Dilbert when you need him? And we wonder why this customer can't get it's act together... well actually we quit wondering a long time ago...
Stay warm, and if anyone is near that "lake effect snow" - ah good luck. 1 Foot of snow in this neck of the woods would shut the city down for at least 3 days - and no I'm not kidding.
