Merry Christmas - we are awaiting the arrival of the rest of the family and as we wait - I thought I would post a few thoughts on the day was that Christmas Eve. It began in the usual manner up with the dogs - they were fed, watered and emptied. All was right in their world... I got breakfast, bathed and dressed, Bubba got dressed and attempted to log on to work (I know - but what can you do?) As that was unsuccessful he let it go - (I know!) and we prepared for the trek north to the land of the in-laws (insert evil organ music here)...
Now as we headed that way after only one false start, I was informed that we were doing lunch alone then making our way to mother in laws to enjoy some quiet family time - then we would proceed at the appointed time to the sister in law's home where Christmas would begin in earnest!
And we did - all proceeded as planned with only minor glitches of harsh words from Bubba after being told he was parking on the grass covered in much less snow that we got in DC... but hey...

Now about this time family arrived Christmas Day and all heck broke loose... let's put it this way... 3 kids 6 and under... 3 dogs, one old, one not and one puppy... boxes and paper and everything everywhere - it was super fab. We ate, we drank, we laughed and laughed, and sighed and enjoyed every minute.
We are now at Christmas Day minus one... and we have stories... but they will have to wait as I've got time to spend with the family - and family pictures to deal with tomorrow. that will be a post unto itself...
Merry Christmas y'all...
*yinz... (Pittsburgh speak for you guys, y'all etc.)
