I'm just baking - sheesh. ;-) Yes boys and girls I am about to embark on a holiday tradition of some note - and make a big a$$ mess I am sure... Going to try and make Nana's Carmel Tassie cookies, the cookies you have to back, melt, ice, chill and heaven knows what else I've read this recipe three times - oh yeah I'm in for a workout.
See Monday for an update - that might be the only working computer I have left...
Today is Sunday - there is no football today -oh there might be for other teams - well there won't be any more football Sundays so what does it matter and I'm not going back there again. Not going to do it. Nope.
Also won't mention watching 6 hours of WINNING -- CHAMPIONSHIP Steeler football over the past week - NFL network did an entire series on the 6 (count um) Super Bowls the team has won - and the last one - just pissed me off.... this is the same team -- Ben didn't do a header into another SUV - WT--- Ahem. Yes as I was saying, football Sundays are done, it's all good, we are calm and we are going to bake. Perhaps I should find a cookie that requires some kneading or perhaps some very strenuous pulling or something ... grrrrrrrrr Perhaps I am still a bit bitter about Thursday's loss, it will pass.
All right-y then... shopping list, waders, parka, industrial strength rain cover... ready to brave the elements and the grocery store. Did I mention the rain? It's 35 degrees and raining, pouring --- what fun this will be. NOT.
So my plan for Sunday is a simple one, survive a trip to the grocery store, bake cookies, pray like Troy Polamalu (not that its doing HIM much good these days) and iron my dining room table cloth - sat down for dinner last night and that was pretty much all she wrote... take 2. ;-)
Enjoy your Sunday - after all a team that isn't playing can't lose can they? CAN they?
Quick update 1: Read entire list of ingredients so you don't have to surf the web to find proper substitute. And the time to clean out the fridge is BEFORE you start all this not during when you need the room... oh yeah and remember it's Sunday before trying to buy liqueur (they are closed) Back to the action...
