I am being selfish today... I am working from home again today - Why? Because I can. And because my pups deserve it. Yeah yeah - that's the ticket. ;-)
So I got one gift wrapped last night because I had hound licks, and puppy feet standing on paper - and boxes -licking the tape - yeah that's helpful - and barking and playing and more - pay attention to ME! So I bagged the wrapping and played with the pups who then promptly moved blankets around the family room and went to sleep. Must have learned that trick from Bubba - annoy her until she pays attention to you then when she's tired and annoyed do what you want so she won't get her stuff done. Oh yeah -thanks girls.
So I've got a few errands to run today I guess I'm going to have to go early as I've got a meeting later today and then more of not a whole lot going on. I will have to go into work early Friday but on the upside, home early, and then one working day next week, a day off with Bubba working then home for the holidays - all good things.
But first, I must make gingerbread houses for the nieces so we can make a big mess at Nana's and decorate them, and I've got to make egg nog for the Ladies' group dinner BUT!! this year I have the BIG bowl to mix the final product. I used to use my roasting pan as it was the biggest thing I had to get all that stuff in there - and that was a half a recipe. Go figure.
And another thing - why and how do the dogs know that you finally get to talk to the tech support guys THAT is the time to start growling over a toy then yapping at who knows what then ringing the bell to be let out, then run upstairs and start barking at the leaf blowing by... I shut the door - then they scratched on the door to be let in. Only when I'm done girls - deal with it.
They take over where Bubba leaves off. On the up side - they sleep more than he does - and I can tell them to go lay down.
Sorry life has been so quiet lately, but you've got to take the down time with the crazy times and I'm sure when Bubba makes his way home, we get into the thick to packing for home, and the trip and then home... and family and in-laws and all the rest... these thoughts will take on a whole new slant.
All right off to tend the things today... stay warm!
