I got nothin'

For two days... Monday at work was so quiet it was a little scary so I got a lot of busy work done just because I was enjoying the lack of email and phone calls and the dreaded "call me" emails from the boss in Florida... then came home did a few things, headed out to my meeting, nice meeting, came home to .... Bubba.

Now my father had called asking how to scan a document on his printer and email to someone, when I have walked Mom through this process previously I thought we did it to a file for ease or because, well, it was too confusing for Mom and me to do it direct to email. So with dear old Dad I figured we could do that -- I didn't listen to the voice in the back of my head that said "it won't work that way.. internet mail..." and it didn't so we had to start over again that didn't work, we had to reboot - that didn't work, frustration on both sides, so we bagged it for then and I went to my meeting.

Came home to Bubba -who, poor baby, had to stop and get his own dinner, I was enjoying a snack (nothing healthy) he grumped and asked if I had dinner, I said no I was helping Dad. No worries, any who the folks called about 10:20 PM still having trouble with the scanner, now when the phone rings it apparently is directly wired to Bubba's cranky button. Please don't ask me to explain it - it rings he gets cranky. I don't even attempt to understand that whole mess...

So I helped the folks, 10 minutes later I'm upstairs with the hubby - and of course he's in the best of moods due to phone-to-cranky-button connection. And he says to me (seriously quoting) "why is it necessary to answer a call that hour of the night?"

Ah - the phone rang?

What was so important?

Dad was having trouble scanning something and apparently needed to get it done tonight - we were awake - it's not like he called at midnight.

It was too late.

What are you 12?

No - I thought it was (annoying girl's group adult)

I haven't talked to her in weeks... what is the big deal?

It's annoying.

And?

I want my peace.

I raised an eyebrow and stopped talking. Didn't mention that peace he could enjoy if he slept in the garage... but that was probably for the best. I also refrained from emailing everyone I knew from calling the house every 15 minutes from 9:30 until 11 PM.. Tuesday night just for fun... LOL of course when his head exploded I would have had to clean up the mess...

Today is Wednesday, work from home day... its hot as all get out, got my running done, with one whoops when I forgot to grab and address so I will have to talk another trip to the post office. I got dinners planned for tonight and tomorrow night. All the laundry is done, except for the folding as I'm am working and I can unload, reload in the time it takes me to go to the ladies room and walk back at work. (long trip other side and end of the floor from my office-- I plan ahead.)

And in the yes-I-am-a-15-year-old-fan my new move poster arrived yesterday and it's on my wall at work... you know the one... Robin Hood, starring the one and only Russell Crowe.. (insert sigh here). I'm such a girl. But the best part? Other than a larger than life Russell on my wall? The note put on the bottom of my poster.... "And your problem with my QA review would be?"

Love it! Just wish the Huntsville folks would come up for a visit - and soon.

That is all for today... still holding that calling all night idea... perhaps I will do it on a night when I know I'm not going to home... LOL oh yeah that will have his head spinning... (insert evil laugh here)

Later.
