On two fronts..
First up moving, logged on LOVE the commute on Wednesdays then remembered I had to get to the Blood work place BEFORE I could have breakfast, coffee... you get the idea. So off I go thinking I have missed the before work and school crowd and it should be pretty quick... joke on Aunt Ing.
40 minutes later which was sit for 37 of them then the blood work. Stopped by the grocery store, got breakfast, lunch and dinner so I'm set for the day me and the girls can enjoy just being home. Oh and a side note - weather is LOVELY! I expect Shelby to spend most of her day outside, Violet - will be wherever the comfy blanket is. They are mine.
So the Zen shattering... that started early. Shelby needed her shot, now as Bubba was explaining to me this past weekend it sounded strangely familiar... and it did. Fast forward to this morning... pill given - easy add peanut butter and gone. Then pulled out the shot-giver-things,(not even trying for that long syrn...word) fought with the cover, felt like a dork when I finally figured out how it worked, filled it up, looked into those big brown puppy eyes... fought hard not to panic, moved to her back end... she ironically gets her shot in the back thigh (also very familiar--less chub on Shelby though) anyway... hands shaking, breathing shallow - I hold my breath thinking that would help one of us... and in it went. She flinched a 1/2 second, then it was over. Shelby was fine, gave her a cookie and done. I, on the other hand, was a wreck. I loved her, fought tears, my hands weren't quite study... cripes...
So I logged on to work computer - remembered the blood work thing.. while sitting... got an email stating - yet again boys and girls we've got our 4th major software boo-boo... groovy. SOOO here we go again, rush rush rush, test test panic panic... and boy oh boy is the CYA starting with the lead tech nerd in Alabama... he's trying to tell his "beloved" QA that we aren't doing our jobs again... think again skippy. We document our stuff.. .do you? Oh no! Hee hee hee...
Today I will pull back the Zen - enjoy the day at home, look outside at the blue sky listen to the rolling sounds of Violet snoring behind me and Shelby running in and out because she can't decide whether or not she wants to stay outside in the hot sun or stay cool in the house with mommy.
Find your Zen today... or just go outside and enjoy the sun.
