Like grains of sand through the hour glass...

I watch my day slip away waiting for code jockeys in Alabama to get their crap together... oh I will be working late - and it's getting later and later because these boys can't get the code up here to test... come on!! It's a hockey night! Major game - they need to win this one too - it's the playoffs!!

Come on!

But I do have other things to do so I'm busy - I'm not happy but I'm busy. Just sent a message to the boss -- very nicely asked him to light a fire under this crew... cripes.

On the home front life is quiet, Bubba has called home - at a decent hour every night - and early in the week he called twice in one day! He sounds just beat down and I feel bad... of course my job has been sucking wind too - but I have others to grump to (see above). He will be home Friday - late of course but he'll be home - so I'll get half a night's sleep. Thankfully there is nothing planned for the weekend, the upcoming weekends are a bit busy which will make cranky Bubba more cranky - but lately it seems to me that is becoming a more permanent mood... versus the up and down cranky we usually live with.

Ordered some new tops from Macy's... hey free shipping I'm a sucker -- arrived super quick and today get to wear a new top and sweat like a fat lady caught with her hand in the chocolate jar at the fat farm.... in the test lab - if they ever get the freaking software up here... come on!

I have to share this email I sent to a co-worker who claimed this job wasn't good for our health - really just because we're on call 24/7 and must jump the nano second the code jockeys cry out in anguish over some issue ... of course it's good for our health...

I get exercise from this job - running from issue to issue and airport to airport--
We live on a limited sleep supply so we've got to be a living testament to the value of good make up...
the heart pounding stress of what new pile of poo will be hurled our way is great cardio
The ducking and dodging is good for our core strength-- wait that's them..
The bending over backwards and sideways is good for our core flexibility...
Not to mention the strength training of hauling all this poo - to prove to them - yes you did send this s*** up here...
With his job we're going to live forever - or be drunks by 4

I love my job... no I don't Love my paycheck... and my paid time off...


UPDATE: (exciting no?) NO - Aunt Ing will most likely be working this weekend film at 11.. going OUT to lunch.
