Well welcome to the weekend...

And guess what boys and girls! Aunt Ing ain't working it... at work that is. No sir-re-boy... we actually got the testing done at the home base! Successfully Friday night - worked a much longer day than planned but it was totally worth it not to have to sweat the stuff at all this weekend....

Now two days home alone with Bubba. I think the last time this happened was some time around Christmas -- New Years maybe... right now he's baling the yard. I say baling because the boy genius next door didn't get to it last weekend before the rains came so - to say it's a bit high is like asking if the Pope is Catholic... y'know? K'

Saturday started late - well sort of Shelby graciously let me sleep in until 8:00 AM then we had breakfast and I figured I hang out and enjoy the peace and quiet. The girls had other plans and after much running up and down the stairs I go the hint we were supposed to be back in bed... me with a book and the lovely tones of Bubba's snores. When he finally awoke I had finished one book and had a good start on a second. But it has been a productive morning, showered, up dressed, emptied my large and looming pile of clothing next to my bed, gathered up the laundry, cleaned the kitchen started the dishwasher, washed the leftovers, did the puppy land mind patrol and weeded one of the 3 barrels in the back yard.

Why only 1? when I yanked up the weeds I was suddenly covered in ants - ran inside washed them all down the laundry room tub and sprayed the living high heck out of that barrel... ick and double.

Now Bubba Friday called the Vet - and in luck only Bubba has managed to snag an appointment because someone cancelled. Those Saturday appointments are hard to get. Anyway... he and Shelby went to see Dr. Brad... came home with pills and inject able drugs. Kill me. Now why -- Shelby was limping a bit ago I took her they did x-rays and found her front right elbow is all screwed up and we have done all we could but she's an active dog and when she's got a day out of the crate she limps around. So Bob took her in and these drugs are to give her a good quality of life without pain in the elbow. Twice a week she gets a shot, and pills daily. Pills are easy add peanut butter or cheese and down it goes. The shot will probably be harder on me than the dog...

The rest of the day was spent putzing about the yard, washing the dogs, doing all the laundry, THEN we went to Home Stores-R-Us and got mulch for the front yard, and new plants for the buckets in the back.

Sunday morning started earlier. We were up and moving to get the front yard weeded and mulched before 1) Bob had to leave and 2) it got too stinking hot to be doing this outside... especially for us "full figured" gals... ;-) So the front is done - note to self do NOT let Bubba spread the mulch again... cripes what a mess.

Now I get to sit here, update my thoughts, listen to Yinzer pre-game, and enjoy the peace and quiet. Until the dogs bark... see?

Enjoy your Sunday - I know I'm going to...
