First let's get the hair reactions out of the way - husband "I see you went nuts at the hair dresser today - its too short". Thanks honey I knew I could count on you for some kind of uplifting comments....
Ah but this morning - the gals at the office - my ego is soaring. "You look hot" - "Seriously 10 years younger" "really great!" What we do without girlfriends? Going out to dinner with former co-workers tonight - this should be fun too. ;-)
Now that I have published my ego boast of the day (week - possibly into the rest of the month) we can come back down to earth... As I looked about my house today I realized I was having company this weekend... I better get busy and put together a bigger part of the house. The living room won't be done until Tuesday - the decorator and the curtains guy will be here Tuesday... Man I have got to get a digital camera so I can post some of those pics!! I'll head to Target do you think they have one for $50? LOL I am very excited to see my new room... Anyone want to take a bet on how long I get to enjoy it before Bubba sucks all the fun out of it? You know - by mentioning the budget (and the whizzing sound it made as it danced by...)
Never mind it's like the hair - I like it that is all that matters. (see me with my tongue sticking out and making funny faces - yeah so I'm 5)
On the the pondering thought for today... I was grumping at Bubba last night when at 8:30 PM he called last night and requested a Metro pickup. Yeah again. I said fine and headed out to go get his fanny... only there was overnight construction on the big highway... ONE LANE OF TRAFFIC was getting by at a very slow pace as everyone must slow down and look the guys putting out those little orange cones then you hit the blinding lights and then plunged back into the dark... and I wonder why my eyes crossed ever so briefly. So... with that slow down and of course eye adjustment time to the new darkness it took a bit longer to get to said Metro station... and of course 2 minutes out the phone rings, "where are you?"
Now I'm sure you all expected some great rant or explosion - no-- not me. I calmly instructed Bubba of issues that I encountered and that I was a mere few minutes away to pick him up and happily take him to his car... (and if you believe that load of manure I've got a bridge in Brooklyn to sell you). Of course I yelled.
And I grumped on the way home - and somehow he managed to make ME feel bad because I didn't want to leave the house at 8:30 and go get his butt! I swear there is something wrong with me... if you're going to take the bus - make the bus home. You've got a lap top - use it when you get home. Apparently I'm still a bit cranky.
And just wait until I have to hold to a diet... and what spy satellite does Weight Watchers have? Discussion with the doctor - and in today's mail - WW coupons to join up. Man do you think they could find Bin Laden? Its a thought.
That's it for today - not feeling particularly chatty. ;-)
