Three-fer

Sometimes a girl just needs her Dad... and again mine came through. Today work wise has been total crap. Every time I made the attempt to do my job well I have been beaten back with the velvet glove of management - also known as the iron fist.

But I have vented to co-workers worked out a plan which I am sure will be shot through of holes upon my return next week and managed to do that list of chores facing me tonight.

And I'm in a more stable frame of mine because I could call my dad vent again and then laugh and talk about other things. Like the show Inside the NFL. We remember the show when it was on HBO and had 2 really good old time football players on there - they were good at discussing the games, they were fun and had great stories. Then they tried to 'hip' it up and we both hate it - oh we're still watching but we like it less.

And now with the move to Showtime - it has slipped another notch - we're not happy but we're watching. In fact I even emailed Showtime last season because I was so ticked off at the pre-Superbowl show - I had less than no interest in seeing the strip clubs of Tampa Bay with Warren Sap. And these are the kinds of things a girl can talk to with her Dad after a day of standing in front of the fan as the compost is poured in great heaping mounds.

So, the kitchen is cleaned, the ladies group and girls' group deposits are ready to go, the laundry is in progress and I'm about 2 hours away from chick family happiness.

Today's final lesson? Hug your Dad girls he is the only one you got and we love him for it. And thanks Dad for letting me pop off and telling me good family stories. Having a little trouble there son? LOL

Love ya - Pap
