Well apparently this is it...

According to the Washington Post - on line it's called Snow-magendennnnn... or Holy Crap that's a lotta snow... Now I arose early so I could get away from snow that was to be measured in feet - only to have it follow me. Way to go Pittsburgh forecasters... but hey I've got company, I don't have to do much shoveling, I have actual people to talk to and I won't eat myself into the size of a small car... on the down side Mom made blueberry pancakes for breakfast and is now making noises about making cake... I still might have that size issue. ;-)

But on the total upside - Mom made blueberry pancakes and Dad has a snow blower. It's a life

My DC neighbors called to tell me that they wished they could say my house was just fine... but they CAN'T SEE IT. LOL. Almost four feet of snow for DC - It will take them a month to find my neighborhood.... I brought the laptop - I will and can work from Pittsburgh. And probably might have to... gosh darn and major bummer.

The niece's birthday party has been moved by one day - and thankfully no longer in a bowling alley - don't get me started on a 3 year old birthday party at a bowling alley -I mean really? The kids weigh as much as the freaking balls... put a bike helmet on the little darlings and wing them down the alley - they'll enjoy it and frankly it would probably be good parenteral therapy. (NO! I actually wouldn't toss my niece down a bowling alley - people please.)

The dogs are very confused, there is no yard that doesn't swallow them whole so there has been a great deal of "relieving" via the deck and the sidewalks, we'll start walking on the alley behind the house so they have some place to go... poor girls. Yeah real tough, 3 sets of hands to love them, Nana the goodie sneaker and Pap a male voice, that Shelby misses-- oh yeah poor poor puppies. (this is sarcasm boys and girls - study up)

Of course if Bubba wasn't on the West Coast I'd be trapped at home with him, shoveling out, cooking and such and probably all the crappy movies we've got DVR'ed will have been watched, and either deleted or saved for later... perhaps there might have been an upside to that one. LOL But then I would have been trapped with Bubba for the better part of 3 days if not longer - oh the posts that could have been written... instead you get the Chronicles of the crazy parents. Although I personally find it an amazing piece of restraint that I haven't called my sister asking for those "home" suggestions -- yet - but there were blue berry pancakes and the promise of cake.

The way to Aunt Ing's heart - her sweet tooth.

Stay warm, stay put and be careful where ever you are...

On final thought that just kinda popped in there... how strange would these posts have been if I had been stuck home alone... for days on end... oh yeah the strange and wild musing of the crazy lady thinking the snow drifts are talking to her... oh yeah that would have been tons of fun. signing off. now.
