We made it, its the end of another long week, and now we've got plans for the weekend, however, this weekend is must less planned than last weekend! And we aren't being stuffed, hiked and x-rayed within an inch of our very lives.
I will be home, got a few errands to run, a meeting to get through Saturday - but other than that its smooth sailing. Now next week is going to be entertaining no matter which way I slice it. Two nights with plans, leaving for the weekend Thursday OR it could all be tossed into the shredder and I'm getting on another plane to Alabama. Say a small prayer that won't happen.
Yesterday was remarkably uneventful... well Bubba did get up at 0-3:30 in the blessed night to catch his flight, I would have been much more unhappy if I hadn't had to get up an scant hour later to get into work... still wasn't happy about the amount of noise, light and foolishness that went on at 0-3:30 in the blessed AM... but I let that one go. Honestly I was too tired to put up much of a fuss.
This morning I made up for that... slept in. Got into work late, but as it's Friday traffic wasn't completely horrible, even with the rain, and it's Friday so folks are a bit more mellow. Except for the two - yes two people who found it necessary to pull in front of me -- in the rain -- with lights -- and traffic-- and I'm really going to have to get those brakes checked. Idiots.... now I want you all to notice, calm, cool, no shouting, no "football" words - very Zen... it's all good. And if I keep this up for much longer I just might have a stroke. GRRRRRRRRR Ok. better. Thank you. ;-)
Just got the Friday brief in, boss is gone, things are so mellow and it's going to be a good Friday. Until you look at my outside of work to-do list... ah well. We will limit the amount of time the pups must be locked up, keep they busy and tired so we all can sleep at night, and get all our stuff together.
I had to smile when I got a message from Mom, with her schedule for March and April - I'm going to have to make an appointment to talk to her... kinda like folks have to do with me or Bubba on occasion. It's a life - and I'm grateful I am able to enjoy a busy one. I'm doing fun my stuff in April so it's all good... including the Nosh Party and the Book Sale - take 2 with the girls.
All right - stay tuned for very mellow Aunt Ing, Bubba is on the road, I ain't cooking, I've got sole control of the remote control, and I'm going shopping. Count down to 30 days when Bubba gets the credit card bill... BWAAA HA HA HA HA.... Ahem.
It's all good... stay dry and don't step off the concrete in DC this weekend, you'll sink up in mud up to your ankles... (snow melt + 3 inches of rain + squishy ground = major muddy paws) ... I may look into a carpet cleaner.
