First we have general unhappiness in Bubba-land and all sorts of unhappy in Aunt Ing-ville. Oh yes in spite of all efforts to get to sleep early the gods were working against me. Oh I had nodded off then the phone would ring, one time its a friend who didn't know I was out of town, then settled back in, drifting, lovely - ring ring - Bubba. I tried for grumpy but poor Bubba has such a rotten day I had to bite my tongue and let him go one. That job is kicking his butt...
What's ticking me off is we're both home Friday - tomorrow - THEN he has to leave AGAIN in another week. AND I'm leaving town to Nana's 2 days before he leaves again for the West Coast! The good news the puppies can come with me... Sorry Nana you're about to invaded.
My working day has been entirely too freaking long... the upside breakfast at the hotel... well not really an upside - I think for the first time in my life I had powered eggs - they had a not exactly egg like texture and and they they tasted not exactly like eggs I've tasted before. And the bagel definitely tasted left over... hopefully tomorrow will be better - or it will be the dregs of the rest of the week. Lunch was good - homemade BBQ - oh baby. Dinner was fast food because it was pushing 8 PM and my tummy was letting me know lunch as at 12:30.
I got some inside work information today - personnel wise and I'm not happy about it... not to mention that I was a part of the problem and didn't even realize it - and a big part of the reason my babies are home alone.
The brightest spot in my day was a call from my sister saying she was happy with the Goddaughter's Easter Dress and I got to talk to her and to hear her tell her father not to touch her toys when she went upstairs to get a bath... too much fun!
Haven't talked to Bubba yet today... hopefully he's had a better day.
