Puppy Zen....

While there isn't the bright and sunshine of yesterday but it is still warm and the sun has peaked out now and again, Shelby our bouncy puppy, is outside in the backyard sitting, laying, just in her zone.... the best part I stepped outside to enjoy a minute of warmth I watched Shelby... there she sat on the smushed grass, yellow and basically dead looking, but she sat her head held high... her eyes slowly closing, then her head would bobble and her eyes would open again she'd look around and the process would start all over again... makes you a bit.... sleepy.

Now there are moments when Shelby finds it necessary to bark at the passing birds, people, cars, leaves, bugs... and there she goes again. It's bliss in Shelby-land.

Violet on the other hand... is curled up in the office with me, sleeping on the bunched blankets, with the occasional grump or sleepy growl in deference to Shelby on bark watch. Now we can toss in the pup next door and we've got puppy fun!

I know Shelby was a bit cramped when we had all the snow, she's fussy about the location of her functions and doesn't like going the same place twice... yeah she's a princess. Now the back yard is free and clear and available for puppy needs. Life is good in Shelby-land.

Life here is very quiet work wise, I love work from home days...

But now I must pop off... sit back and strap in boys and girls - there is a HUGE news story for us yinzers (folks from Pittsburgh) in a complete uproar. Big Ben, QB of my beloved Pittsburgh Steelers... YOU IDIOT - YOU BIG STUPID IDIOT!! YOU COULD HAVE ANY GIRL IN WESTERN PA - FOR HEAVENS SAKE GO HIRE SOMEONE - ANOTHER INVESTIGATION? YOU... YOU... YOU.....BIG .... DUFUS! (keeping it PG)

Ahem, now I will propose Ben need a new member of his entourage, Me, the position, Monitor on Moron or MOM for short. In my role as Ben's MOM I will go every where with him, I will make sure restrooms are empty of others including men, bimbos, and anyone else Ben might have a hard time saying to or accepting the word NO. He wants female company? No problem, MOM is here to protect you, sign this consent form that you are about to engage in an activity for which you enter willingly and expect no payment unless that is your current occupation in that case your fee will come from MOM and you will sign a receipt of payment in full. No muss no fuss right? Whadda mean it's sick? Apparently this is what this boy needs is a keeper who will tell him where the bear goes and with what frequency.

As everyone knows you put together the mix of men and libations, add in NFL QB and lots of disposal income - and you've got quite a mix and the fuse is usually lit with the phrase, "Hey guys check THIS out."

Which ironically tends to be one of the key phrases uttered by Darwin Awards nominees... I'm just saying. Not to mention men tend to forget rules or telling his buddy something isn't a good idea when their manhood is called into question. Me - the MOM position, will have none of these issues, I will call stupid -stupid and I'm just the right height to either kick him in the knee or aim a bit higher to gain the boy's undivided attention. And if need be I can lead him out of the situation by the ear to avoid ANOTHER cop discussing anything involving a girl, a allegation, and the potential loss of my QB...

I will also say if he did this stupid thing - he deserves to rot and NOT play football. I will curse his name every time Charlie Batch is looking at the sky, when he's being carted off the field and when the guy with 15 minutes of NFL QB experience is called in.... oh yeah baby Ben will equal mud then... but you don't get to play when you take advantage of your position, your size and your gender. Straighten up Ben - we like the playoffs and Super Bowl parades, we don't like police news conferences, slimy lawyers, and the words "criminal investigation"

Not to mention I got a "7" sweatshirt for Christmas and it's warm and soft and I would hate to have to stop wearing it. You big butthead (sorry last one)

/End Rant... for today.

Oh - and welcome home Randell El... Washington's loss is our gain.
