OK so I'm up and functioning, things are tended, one hour time zone difference, screwed up sleep schedule, work, stuff, at least they fed us well... and now a few hours to kill before I begin bouncing back home...
Trip over can be summed up with... OMG where is the gate/baggage claim/the outside world?!?
Baltimore security was awfully slow... there was laugh when the kid behind me took a picture of the sign before you put everything into a bin, strip down to your unmentionables.. the sign? "Do not put children on the table"... then the giggling began, pictures of babies in the bins, crawling through the x-ray machine... it was a warped picture and giggle but it was mine.
I landed without incident in Detroit at Gate A2 - my connection was at gate B3 - I walked basically from one end of the darn airport to the other... or in more accurate terms I walked from Detroit to Chicago then got a plane to be launched up and down and land in Chicago. At least I saw my luggage made it to the plane... after I walked 4 miles to meet the plane. My luggage had a ride... what's wrong with THAT picture?
Chicago o'hare is as big as the city... so no matter where you land it's a walk and then some.
So today... I get to do the reverse, only I land in Cincinnati... gee I wonder how big THAT airport is and which end I'm going to land and which other end I'm going to fly out of...
But on the up side, I'll be home tonight and sleeping in my own bed and playing with my puppies. Its all good.
Stay tuned for the antics of Bubba left home alone... heaven help me.
