Ah Saturday...

Weekends are just fab aren't' they? You get to sleep in -- to a point Shelby's bladder has a definite time limit. And once I'm up I'm generally up now that doesn't mean I'm productive I have crawled back into bed and read a half a book some dreary Sunday morning post puppy breakfast routine.

This morning we were up and moving, Bob is off to work for part of the day, after he goes to the post office to get his passport updated. I would really hate to leave him behind on our anniversary cruise... really seriously. I hear snickering (crap I think it's me). So I get to enjoy peace and quiet... so I decided to weed out my new plants, that have managed not only to survive in my presence but actually grow. I say this as I not only have a black thumb (as opposed to green) but 9 times out of 10 when I bring a living thing into the house it tends to wilt and turn brown before I realize it needed water or dirt. Any who... I have 6 count them 6 thriving plants outside my house it replaced the dying bush next to the air conditioner unit. So I'm tending to them now. We will see if they survive the winter... which thankfully is many many months off... please god.

So now with breakfast in me and caffeine happily beginning it's morning dance the day is looking good. I do have to clean out the fridge... ick but it does need to be done and if I'm saying that you know there are things that are starting to plot a breakout. Then I think I'll try a new recipe for dinner tonight, unless I read it and decide for all that mess he can take my fanny out. We'll see how that works out. Generally that tends to run into mood things.... I'm debating between pasta and fish... hum... can you combo those? Search later.

So 'let me sum up'* fridge, dishes, and my first hour facing a blank screen to see if I can actually write down the stories in my head. According to Nora Roberts that's how she got started - well that and as a method in which to avoid killing her children while snowed in... I don't have that push but I have a restlessness that I need to finally step up and try-- and not get all wrapped up in the rules on the freaking website about how to do it and how to send it in. I'll just put pen to paper (electronically) and see what I can do.

* oh and to get me the following movies and such are required viewing (in no particular order) The Princess Bride, Steel Magnolias, anything with Russell Crowe in it, Eddie Izzard, John Pinnette, Jeff Dunham, and it just might help to know my crazy family but I won't hold it against you... ;-)

Enjoy your Saturday and remember even the worst day of your life is a gift - that you will remember as a learning opportunity many many days from now. :-)
