First, thanks to my sister from another mother for the morning oh ick. ;-) she sent me an article about a motorcyclist who apparently had had enough of being stuck behind a motor home and passed him only to then hit the breaks (again study hard in school kids) the law of physics aren't really there to be screwed with... said larger object takes more force with which to stop - and hit said motorcycle and - well Oh ick. thanks Gigs for the reminder to be better to my fellow man while I am behind the wheel. That and to never stop short in front of a motor home.

Now most days are very good days - in spite of what you might read here. I have a job and we've got funding! While the search for a new one continues we don't have the racing panic of a few days ago; and as Martha would say that's a good thing. Bubba went out with the boys last night - another good thing as 1) No cooking and 2) sole control of the remote and 3) sole control of the remote; with no cooking. Of course without Bubba at home Shelby finds it necessary to sit in the front window and bark at every leaf, small creature and person walking by the house - at full volume then getting Violet all excited and - well she's a coon hound and baying inside the house has cracked a glass or two. Luckily Violet you can love and she'll hush, Shelby just looks at me, much like the husband (cocked head and blank expression) and then she goes back to sentry duty. But again it's all good.
I have also discovered there is a window of time for the bus drop off, if we hit 7:30 we watch that bus pull away and we do the "go get it" again, only this time there was no stopping as there was no one at that stop. So we do the giant loop around and I drop him off at the main bus stop. And then 5 minutes later arrive back where I started, and on my way to work. Note to self, do not leave house before 7:30, 7:35 is best, as that gives you 10 minutes to make a 5 minute drive and he can catch the 7:45 bus without chasing, cursing or grumping. (or blogging about it an hour later) ;-)
Now my question is when a person is dropping you off, chasing buses and then taking to a third location why would you grump at them? I'll chock it up to a morning thing and leave it at that. Really - no seriously. Otherwise that would be rude and ungrateful and that certainly isn't my pamper prince - I mean husband.
OH and a quick weather update, we've gone from boil lobster hot to simply summer in DC; again life ain't so bad and it ain't winter. Now back to code and more code and an update from Camp Cush-y also known as Steelers Training Camp 2009. And Coach Mike Tomlin-- I fully expect you to beat Arizona again on Thursday I don't care if its preseason or not-- deal with it. signed Every yinzer from PA to tim-buck-two*; including the one sitting in the 'burbs of DC.
*I know that isn't how you spell it but it reads better that way....
