It is now completely official (as if there was a doubt) I am a nerd... and I have been one for a long time and just never you mind how long is long-- nebby. My sister sent me a joke involving computer and Abbot and Costello it was cute, it was funny, and I enjoyed it very much...
In my nerdy ways I replied to her that I didn't get it-- why? Because the first paragraph said if you get computers you will not enjoy this joke. My job is to 'get' computers. Therefore a nerd would not find this funny (remember I did... so move on). Think the guys on Big Bang Theory.
So my little nerdy joke spiraled into copied email to parents, child like name calling across the electronic miles and metaphorical tongue-sticking-outness. Ah siblings. We have since kissed and made up, and I've cleaned my computer screen - nothing screws up your view like chap stick on your monitor.. I mean really. No I don't have a web cam why do you ask?
Think about it gang...
All right now as we didn't have the daily drama that is the bus-drop-off, the morning was pretty zippo-do-dah and boy am I glad the truck knows the way to work. I mean who really is driving with their eyes open at o-dark-30? Also know as 5:45AM which is the time I pulled out of my drive way this morning. And to you sicko morning type people I say --- that time of day should come only once per day and involve a cocktail hour. That includes every former military man I've worked with who smiles and says "by that time of day I've completed more than you do all day" Well good for you zippy but I'm still awake at 9:00 PM like all the other grown ups.
Bubba did contemplate getting up with me this morning for an early AM drop off but when I woke his sleeping beauty and he asked the time I got a mumbled, I'll drive myself I want to sleep another hour. Of course you do. I resisted all temptation to wake him again just to say 'have a good day sweetheart' at full volume of course. And it really was an accident I hit the doorbell on my way out which caused both dogs to bark - in the bed room...
That should make up for the speaker phone calls at 3AM to the airlines all freaking winter to see if your flights were delayed. Remember boys; women are like elephants - we never forget. (and not the other picture you have in your mind...)
Should be a quiet weekend, Mom is in town so hopefully we'll have some grand family gossip to share, and Bubba is off on a guy's guys weekend. Shooting, golf, and other gentlemanly pursuits I want nothing to do with... enjoy sweetie. Mom will still be here when you get back... bwaa ha ha ha.
