Its a Sunday mood...

And Mama ain't happy; and I'm about to take it out on the keyboard. First the Steelers lost last night - that does not make for a good mood, even worse they did it to the Washington Redskins so I get to hear "we beat the Super Bowl champs" across radio and TV today. Yeah well you were losing until the young man who's job will now include a paper hat and working knowledge of the fry machine coughed up the ball.... way to go skippy.

Second Bubba called last night and informed me that Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday were going to be very long days and I would have to pick him up at the Metro. Ah ha. Now I must balance this reaction with the broken piece currently (and gently please) making its way to Philadelphia... and my need to move large pieces of furniture out of the way so I can a) clean behind them and b) so the painters can paint the freaking walls!!! Then I am reminded my by own nagging witch of a conscience that he did not have a say in said date selection and I am selfishly trying to get things done before scheduled company arrives. That being said I also know that when I presented his royal highness the 3 estimates he wanted a 4th. No boys and girls I kid you not - I did it they were $350 more than the guy Bubba talked to (he just happened to home that time)... I made a decision and got things moving. Case in point, had I not made this decision I would still be waiting.... he has not been home to discuss this and I have learned very valuable and painful lessons that you do not discuss important things with said Bubba while he is on travel - there is a part of his brain that simply does not retain home matters when he is not at home.

So, I've made my bed now I just have to figure out how to move the freaking mattress. Do they have rent-a-muscle? (and my mind wandered to a very naughty place so I must be feeling better) ;-)

Sooo.... my Sunday will consist of moving things, cleaning things, and plotting how to get the big things moved about... maybe I can bribe the kid next door he's 19 if he injures something he'll heal quick.

ON THE UP SIDE...
I must tell you of my Saturday night with my BFF Gigs - now I was a bit concerned about the evening as I started to pack the truck for an evening of football and friendship I noticed this substance falling from the sky. RAIN! Gobs of it. And the more I packed the harder it rained, and the closer I got to picking her up the harder it rained. But armed with a jacket, and BRIGHT ORANGE poncho (last one at CVS) and great seats we enjoyed the trip and the game. And I can't thank Cindy's Mom and Cindy enough for the arrangement to meet and the tickets. We were wet, hot (plastic does NOT breathe) and fighting indigestion thanks to quickly eaten and made-last-week hamburgers. Lesson learned stick to hot dogs - cured meat holds the test of time better and ketchup and mustard cover all other sins.

It was great and it finally did quit raining and with a small breeze we could pretend to be drying out... socks went from feet to laundry room, soaked and then some. But still totally worth it.

Ok so the keyboard is a little worse for wear but I am feeling a bit better, I still have a ton of crap to get done today but it's just me the girls and I'm sure we'll do just fine. Check back Monday for my strained back and hernia fixes. ha ha ha...
