Thanks Mom...

I have to be the only married woman in America who gets, "Your mom didn't make it like this - it has something else in it." Yes darling Bubba did comment that I didn't make something like MY mother did... yeesh. My mother is a wonderful cook - I am not. I will readily admit Bubba was sucked in and just a bit tricked when we were dating...

He sampled my mother's mother's cooking and my mother's cooking - he looked at me and thought - HEY! Sucker. I don't cook as well as they do I probably never will. I wasn't the girl in the kitchen with Mama and Grandmama... no I was reading a book or watching football with dad. Bubba had hopes for some genetic memory cooking gene... nope sorry the sister got that one. Along with the height and the dark brown hair, you got short, straight and mousy brown - but I can fix your computer and hide things within it that you will never find... ha ha ha ...

This morning he decides that with the leftover steak from earlier in the week he wants steak hash and eggs like my mom makes. No problem, easy enough cut steak add the onions... wha la. Only not 1) didn't chop it up small enough (seriously?) 2) didn't add the mystery 'Nana' spice to it and 3) didn't stir in the cheese in the eggs - I just dumped it on top.

Husband - dear heart 1) chew and swallow you've been doing that for a while now... 2) salt and pepper are spices it's breakfast deal with it; plus you drown it all in hot sauce anyway and 3) you cook it next time. (and we'll all be ice skating in hell when that happens)

Vent over.

Now off to meet with the ladies for ideas for raising money for good deeds and operating expenses. Good thing someone called for a ride because I had forgotten all about it... whoops.

Oh and house 9/10's back together, now to hear from the decorator and it all done... along with a few new touches... shhhh we just bring them into the house no need to discuss additional expenses... We'll keep Bubba busy and he won't notice - until they are on the walls. ;-)

Enjoy your Sunday because too soon we will have to face Monday.
