Now I remember why I hate Mondays... the Staff Meeting (insert evil music here)

Three count them three software releases due FRIDAY. And reviews haven't started yet... NOT A ONE FOR THREE FREAKING RELEASES... Ahem, sorry didn't mean to shout. I mean really it's not that big of a deal, I'm the only reviewer for the code, and documentation has to be done too... I know I'll see that some time Friday. AND to make it more fun? Boss man says he really wants these releases done very well and very cleanly as they might be the "final" software releases for these particular programs. Oh just shoot me now.

I can see it coming: (picture it Northern VA this week)
me: "It doesn't match the standard, you have to fix this"
Code Jockey: "Ah works for me"
ME: "It doesn't matter if it works, you must do it like this..." (with sent detailed description)
Code Jockey: "Still works for me."
ME: (screaming on the inside) then me carefully speaking to said Code jockey like he's had a head injury... or soon about to have one.
Code Jockey: "So I have to change that?"
ME: Yes (you freaking moron!)
Code Jockey: "You'll have it Friday."
ME: banging my head on my desk in the hopes it just might make sense...

Oh and did I mention my usual Wednesday work at home is now ka-pout? (can't VPN code) I hate Mondays.

On the upside - the other code reviewer is back Friday... I'm clinging to that like the last life vest on the Titanic... I'll write again Saturday when I come up from under all that code.
