2 hours.... 2 flipping hours

That is how long it took me to get into work today.... TWO HOURS. It might have been longer but I jumped off one road and went on the one with the lights but hey - it was moving!! Until I got back on the only road to the only bridge that will get me where I need to go... Now some one 'splain this to me, it's not raining, it's not snowing, there are a few clouds in the sky, so there isn't blinding searing sunshine so... WHAT THE HECK IS THE PROBLEM?? Drive - maintain your space, don't do something stupid so you muck it up for the rest of us! But noooo we have to play let's tap bumpers and see how quickly we can screw up everyone else's day... THEN there is the "person" who is driving a truck and his load spills across 2 lanes of the beltway. Traffic is backed up from there until the PA border... check the traffic cameras its now probably just backed up to mid-MD.

I hate those commutes with such a passion I can't adequately express it. All the driving is is lift foot off of break, put foot back on break, repeat until your are convinced one calf muscle will look really good and the other will be flabby and unused. And please don't go there about a manual transmission - 1st, then 2nd if you're lucky, back to first, clutch in clutch out... I'd look like a speed skater with thighs thicker than my body - it's not a great look.

Feeling better we have vented, now we can move on to the "co-worker" who has managed to flambe his lunch in the toaster oven... ah the stink of burnt leftovers... I'm off to lunch and possibly ignore the boss's email for another 10 minutes... nah - I'll email him and tell him I'm "working on it" yeah yeah that's the ticket.
